This is a summary of his dramatic first appearance. It was during the chestnuts fair, in October. The red wine is the best companion of chestnuts and a few customers of a bar, visibly tipsy, made a few comments on the bartender. Gogol, dressed with its usual outfit, red cape, yellow mask and light blue underpants, jumped on them, agile like a cat. First, he grabbed a chair and hit one of the guys on the legs (broken, both), then while he was punching the second, he kicked the third on the shoulder (dislocated). Then he vanished in front of the astonished audience. Nobody tried to follow or look for him, nobody was brave or strong enough. Since then, Gogol watches the security of this little town waiting for his mission to be spread in the world.
